So 83% of the private sector do not have furloughs, but they should be mandated for public employees? And how many business have frozen all salaries and wages for the next two years? (I cannot think of any.) How many have hiring freezes in place for the next two years? (I cannot think of any.) And how many hundreds, perhaps thousands, of K-12 teachers are being laid off this year?

The idea that somehow government workers have a "separate economy" simply does not stand up to even the smallest bit of scrutiny.
